With its wind division, Axpo develops, builds and operates onshore wind farms in all windy regions of Europe and is also active in Romania. The company aims to add a total of 3 GW of wind capacity in the next years.

Main duties & responsibilty:

• Manages the development process of wind onshore projects that requires involvement and alignment of resources and tasks in multiple functions across the organization (defines, plans, coordinates, and follows up)
• Full responsibility for the development of wind energy projects from site identification until they are ready for construction (site selection, site assessment, approval process, grid connection, execution planning) and support in financing and commercialization
• Management of service providers, business partners and suppliers along the development process
• Conducting negotiations with authorities, community representatives, property owners, suppliers, service providers, business partners and other project participants
• Provide timely status reports, project analysis and recommendations
• Maintains resourced delivery plans that comprehensively cover all aspects of projects, identifying and managing dependencies
• In consultation with project team members and stakeholders identifies and provides solutions;
• Actively seeks to resolve roadblock, tracks and reports project delivery progress, issues and escalations
  
• Initiates, organizes, facilitates, and participates in cross-function workshops and meeting necessary to review and agree alignment and actions on cross function topics/issues
  
• Takes projects through to project closure and collects lessons learned
  
• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-functional / international team
  
• Must be able to work alone, yet able to proactively collaborate with team members
  

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering or renewable energies
• 5+ years of previous experience in renewable energy, in programme and project management planning, resource management, cost management, risk management, document management, communication and time reporting
• Knowledge about planning and permitting processes in wind energy incl. applicable laws and regulations
• Advanced Romanian and English, both spoken and written
  
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  
• Previous experience in managing complex cross-functional projects in a multicultural environment is considered a plus
• Demonstrates highest level of ability in all aspects of communications
  
• Willingness to travel
